The directors of Expert Endoscopy; Andrew and Nadeem together have over 30 years of experience in endoscopy.

During that time we have seen many changes in Endoscopy, but what remains unchanged is our unwavering commitment to offer our patients the very highest standards of care through the application of cutting edge technologies whilst ensuring that patient safety and
satisfaction lies at the heart of all that we do.

Expert Endoscopy was born out of this ethos.

About Expert Endoscopy

About Expert Endoscopy

Expert Endoscopy Group was established as an alternative to traditional, commercial in-reach companies. Our goal is to replicate and enhance the high quality services already provided by the host organisation and provide a seamless weekend and outof-hours service which feels natural for patients.
We are a team of experts, hand picked and vetted, who can provide short- and longterm contracts at short notice to Trusts and commercial endoscopy providers to tackle their endoscopy backlogs. Our flexible service can be tailored to meet the needs of the host organisation providing individual endoscopists or whole teams including endoscopy nurses and decontamination staff if required to do so.

As directors of Expert Endoscopy Group, we are both practising Gastroenterologists and the directors of medicine and endoscopy in our own trust and we are committed to ensuring clear communication, empathy, rapid diagnosis and safe transfer of care for all our patients.
We are dedicated to the well-being and care of our staff and have a hands-on approach to management which in turn produces excellent (documented) patient feedback.

Practice and Governance

Practice

Our expert endoscopists are all employed in substantive consultant positions and are able to undertake a wide range of diagnostic upper and lower endoscopic procedures including chromoendoscopy for inflammatory bowel disease and snare polypectomy for polyps up to 2cms in size reducing the need for patients to come back for repeat procedures. They are also able to offer expert follow up advice in keeping with national surveillance guidelines to ensure clear management plans and rapid discharge back to secondary care where appropriate.

Our experienced lead nurses will provide timely feedback on metrics such as point utilisation, DNA’s, cancellations and any patients that require their procedure rescheduling so that all such patients are appropriately safety netted and continuityof care is maintained.

All our staff are fully trained in and adhere to high standards in the use of personal protective equipment in line with best practice for Covid 19.

Governance

All our trained staff are registered with professional bodies, DBS checked, personally recommended, and our service is fully insured. We monitor the key performance indicators of our endoscopists and only employ those who meet the highest standards from JAG-approved organisations. We collect feedback from patients to monitor our performance and provide feedback to help us further improve. Before commencing work, we undertake a thorough assessment of the layout and processes of the host organisation and ensure that patient data, internal referrals, future diagnostics and onward management is timely, safe and of the highest quality.
